I'm rather embarrassed to admit I haven't seen 'Roman Holiday' or 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' yet, but I have seen Funny Face(costarring Fred Astaire),Wait until Dark,My Fair Lady and of course my favorite of the lot: Sabrina -with Humphrey Bogart :)

Carry on Jimmy

Drawn on paper using a ball pen ,scanned and colored digitally.
Can't say I'm entirely satisfied with the likeness.Lemme know if you spot something that's way off...As for his career, for every critically acclaimed role he does,he goes right back and does 2 cheesy comedies and that's really disappointing.Pretty much the same way Robin Williams goes about things.Granted some of the comedies are fun but well, you just feel that they have the power to say No and yet they don't.
Jim Carrey struck a perfect balance with 'The Truman Show' which is my all time favorite movie of his and he was mind blowing in 'Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind'. I hope they choose him to host the Oscars in the coming years. This guy is currently involved with Jenny McCarthy ! oh mann !!!

Fox pass

One of the most endearing actors in Hollywood... and what does he get? Parkinson's disease... how cruel ! He kinda went into retirement after it got worse and I hope we get to see him back onscreen someday...
I think I can safely say that 'Back to the future' would probably be on the list of movies I've watched more than 15 times. If you haven't seen the trilogy, go get it now... I also liked him in some of his other movies -Life with Mikey,For better or for money,etc... not to mention the TV comedy series Family Ties. One of his most memorable appearances was in Scrubs where he played a visiting doctor who suffers from O.C.D. That was probably the last I saw of him. He's got a foundation to help advance Parkinson's Disease research through embryonic stem cell research.
As far as looks go I kinda feel he resembles both Charlie Sheen and Michael Douglas in some aspects.
As far as this sketch goes not sure I've nailed it...I thought it would be easy but struggled to draw him...

Whither the bloom?
If you've noticed, of late I've been doing entirely digital caricatures, in color. That was me just familiarizing myself with the graphic tablet.Getting too comfortable with it would mean I would lose touch with the good old pencil-paper method. So starting today I will be uploading pencil sketches, well, caricatures. The colored digital ones normally anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to complete, and a pencil one would take about 30 mins.So on days when I cant really spare the time I will be doing these pencils and uploading them with some minor post production work in photoshop to clean up the piece.A lot of American illustrators follow this practice, and one way of picking subjects is by their birthday.Jan 13 happens to be the birthday of this actor...

I know , I shoulda picked a reference pic with him having a better hairstyle :) .
After LOTR ,Troy and Pirates of the Caribbean, he showed a lot of promise but he's failed to capitalize on that ... and to see him in that horrendous Toyota commercial was really disappointing...he's also got the baby face curse and this could cost him when it comes to casting him in certain roles...

Arty Marty

One of the caricatures where I've tried to exaggerate the features more than I normally do, and the likeness suffers a bit I guess. On hindsight this doesn't look too bad.

The Master of his Domain
Out on bale

Done entirely on photoshop using a wacom tablet, in a digital painting style again... Am yet to see The Machinist or American Psycho but having seen him in the new Batman franchise and The Prestige this guy rates pretty highly on my list. As far as his looks go I somehow feel he's more of a cross between Tom Cruise,Randeep Hooda and Akshay Kumar...
